A Strong Partner

Founded in 1960, as the European Marketing office of a Peruvian group producing various concentrates and metals produced in Peru, Jean Goldschmidt International S.A. (JGI) is now part of the Silox Group, a producer of zinc oxide and sodium hydrosulphite, which is in turn owned 50 % by Prayon, a world leader in the chemistry of phosphates.

The JGI group specialises in the world wide marketing and recycling of non-ferrous metals contained in complex residues.

JGI is the mother company and responsible for the marketing of materials. The group consists of two affiliated companies: Hydrometal, an industrial facility, and Metals & Residues, a commercial office located in the Netherlands.

Hydrometal is a recycling operation, licensed since 1993 as a treatment facility for toxic and hazardous wastes. The operations are built on a site of 5 hectares, at the heart of Europe, in the Liege industrial region, well connected by water, rail and road.

Hydrometal treats complex residues containing non-ferrous metals using mainly hydrometallurgical processes.
